Like I said, Date Night doesn’t have to be anything fancy.

This week we stayed in and had a quiet night.

I just lit the candles and put on the Love Songs station . . .

Hubby made a cocktail

We had a few appetizers while we chatted about this and that.

(Seared Scallops with Truffle Butter, some Herbed Boursin with some cucumber slices, and some mixed olives)

Then we had some Seared Tuna with Avocado and Ginger Lime Aioli over an arugula mix for dinner.

which I think tasted so much better on this beautiful antique plate

After enjoying a leisurely meal, we finished off the evening with a delicious Chocolate Blizzard Martini (whipped up by my hubby), and even a little dancing when our favorite, Michael Buble, began singing.  A perfect ending to a perfect evening.  Just goes to show you that a Date Night doesn’t have to be anything difficult, fancy, or expensive.
