We have a deal in this house: I cook, hubby makes cocktails.  And he’s really good at it, as they come out perfect every time.

This is his magic book of secrets that he is constantly adding too, and making little notations of corrections.  (I think I need to get him a bigger, better book.)

Last night he made his famous Orange Cosmo.  We love these.  Here’s what he did:

First, gather up all the ingredients, and fill the cocktail shaker about 2/3 full of ice.

Then add the vodka, Cointreau and juice.

Don’t forget the fresh lime!

And the most important part: the shake.  The trick to getting all those lovely little ice crystals on top is to shake horizontally, and to just shake the crap out of it.

So a guy who not only makes me amazing cocktails, but is this sweet and handsome?  I’m sure it’s easy for you to understand just why he’s my favorite bartender. <3
